Howard Greeley Rural Public Power District’s electric system is a sub-transmission and distribution system consisting of 133 miles of 34.5kV sub-transmission line and 1,306 miles of primary distribution line and 20 substations. The District receives all of its power and energy at five delivery points, through
the Nebraska Electric Generation and Transmission Cooperative Inc., from Nebraska Public Power District.
Howard Greeley RPPD employs 20 people who take pride in the electric system and are constantly making upgrades and maintaining the system to keep its approximately 5,800 customers supplied with a continuous flow of electricity. Howard Greeley RPPD serves the Howard and Greeley County areas including the communities of Boelus, Cotesfield, Cushing, Dannebrog, Elba, Farwell, St. Libory, Greeley, Scotia and Wolbach and Howard Greeley RPPD wheels electricity to the City of St. Paul.
